Noosa is my favourite place in the world, so doing family photoshoots in Noosa is pretty special for me. I have a heavy focus on moments and connections in my photography, but it doesn’t hurt to have an epic backdrop and Noosa definitely delivers!
Picking a favourite part of Noosa is like picking a favourite child, but it comes down to two main contenders for me. Tea tree bay and Little cove.
Tea tree bay has long been a favourite of mine, it’s usually quieter than Little Cove and offers a picturesque beach with rocky outcrops. The downside is it is a little walk in to the national park and you have to cross large pebbles to access the sand. Which can be tricky for older family members or people carrying babies. The photos you walk away with are stunning.
Little Cove is literally perfection. Parking is limited but once you are at the cove entrance there is easy access on to the beach (great for people who aren’t as mobile). As the sun starts it’s descent there is a rock wall perfectly positioned behind you to ensure those warm backlit photos that everyone loves.
If you want your photos at Little cove you will need to be prepared to block the world out. Because the location is so amazing there are a lot of people sharing that magical beach with you. But trust me, the results are worth it.
No matter where you choose as your location don’t forget that it is not the main attraction… you are! Capturing you and your connections with the people you love is always the most important part.
